Dear Santa...Dear Santa, This year I've been busy! In June on a flight to Colorado Springs, I stole the emergency flight information card (-40 points). In March I helped Overall, I've been naughty (-668 points). For Christmas I deserve a spanking! Sincerely, |
a spanking?! oO ....Can I choose whom I get it from... pleaze! *winks at the Commodore*

It's always the same damn story: in the middle of summer when everybody enjoys the sun and warmth I catch a cold. Don't know how I manage but I just do! Ok, the weather hasn't been too brilliant over here lately but it's still summer. And I even had a cold once while being at the beach in Italy with air temperature up to 35°C in the shadow!
And now it happened again! *grrrr* I had some slight throat aches yesterday and by the time I went to bed my nose was blocked. So sleeping was not at all fun tonight. And I had to work today, which was not at all quiet notwithstanding the fact that we are in the middle of the holidays, and I only managed to get out of the surgery at 7:30 pm. Exhausting day!
But tomorrow I'm off *yay* and will probably spend the weekend getting well again *not so yay*. Well, how's that line from this German Christmas song? "Alle Jahre wieder..." (every year... again) only it's not presents I get but a cold. *sigh* The only good thing seems to be that I don't catch a cold when everybody else does. So in winter (mark: the usual cold-time!) I'm usually pretty well. Strange world!
Hope I'll find time for StC though during the weekend. I guess I already missed a lot of the fun... But hey, seems I'll have time now as I don't think I'll like to be outside much *duh*. As for today I'll best go to bed soon.

It's been a while since I posted, so just wanted to let all of you know: I'm still alive and somewhere out there. ;) It's just that RL was quite busy the last weeks as with new job, uni stuff and organising a small larp event - ok, that's not really RL, but still a hell of work. But it was fun in the end. Maybe I can post some pics when I get them.
As for the future: I'll try to be around more and that goes also for StC. I'm so sorry ladies that Hagman couldn't take part in any of the fun (or rather not-fun) but I only managed to catch up with most of the events by reading the threads. And I promised
latin_cat some company for Sir Arthur a while ago. Haven't forgotten about the chap but still need to decide who it's going to be and make a character profile. But he'll join the General some day (soon) - promise!
LJ seems to be a bit quiet at the moment anyways. Has to be the weather or the European Championship (omg, Turkey will play Germany next week - no matter who's going to win I want to get out of Frankfurt!). Or just general RL-activity. Which is good so I didn't miss too much over the last weeks. ;)

Just came back from a concert by the band of my flat mate's boyfriend (www.schattentantz.de). It was fun. They play some kind of medieval metal (with bagpipes and all) and we had a grand time. I haven't done headbanging in ages *g*. But I'm really drunk now - which is of course completely the fault of one of my friends as he bought all the drinks - well, almost... ;). I won a bet I guess, which is brilliant. I wagered that gugel.com isn't taken yet...
I had a grand time but I'm getting old - monday isn't a good time to go out at all!
Going to bed now...
Well, guess I deserved it :/ But feeling better now after a shower and the first cup of tea.

Wanted to post this yesterday evening actually but got somewhat distracted by the situation in the Crown (RPG "Show the Colours"). ;-)
Had a really great day yesterday. Left me all cheerful and happy!
Got the call from the job that I applied for to let me know I got it *yay*. That lifts a huge weight from my shoulders as I don't have to worry how to pay the rent next month anymore. And it's something completely different from what I did so far and I really needed a change in my life.
In the evening I went to the opera with a friend to see La Traviata. We didn't get tickets in advance 'cause usually it's quite easy to get some students tickets on the same evening (for a during the week evening that is). But as it is a bank holiday today over here it was fairly booked out when we arrived. Though as there are always people who don't show up we got some half-price tickets in the end *yay again*. It was a pleasent evening. Me liking the baritone better than the tenor was confirmed again. ;-) And I really start to like the scene design at Frankfurt opera.
And seeing Sir Arthur go all silly in the Crown was just the perfect ending for one happy day! *g*

YAY! My Sharpe DVD box just arrived from amazon.uk!!! *dances around flat like mad*
Now I have my own Rifleman and General to mess around with. *yayayayay*
Ok, I have to share with a friend... but a pleasure shared is a pleasure squared, ain't it?!
Now I can have endless nights with my two favourite Soldiers whenever I wish to... *glee*

Tonight I'll continue watching Sharpe with my friend. This time it's going to be Sharpe's Regiment and Sharpe's Siege as we are watching them chronologically of course.
They announced Sharpe's Challenge for tonight on a German tv station but seem to have canceled it. :-( Well, it would have been in German anyway, which I probably would not have been able to stand.
I ordered the DVD box on wednesday from amazon.co.uk cause it's down to 35 pounds at the moment. But Challenge is still quite expensive.

I'm going to watch 2 episodes of Sharpe again tonight with a friend! *glee* I got half of my friends hooked on the series already, surprisingly (or not?! *g*) more boys than girls. Got the box lent by a male friend in the first place. I knew it all along: Richard's charm is hard to resist! - even if you are a straight male.
Tonight it's going to bee Sharpe's Battle and Sharpe's Sword. The latter being one of my all time favourites cause it features gorgeous James Purefoy in addition to a certain hunky Rifleman and adorable General.
Can't wait that the day's over!
